Descriptions of the basic details related to an event

Event name

This is the name that appears on the frontpage of Cooltix, the main page of the event, the ticket, in the confirmation email and in the comment section on the invoice. It can be anywhere between 2 and 60 characters long.

Category

It indicates the category of the event, helping customers find it, and navigate on the site.

Organizer

The name of the "organization" that organizes the event, it can be the name of a brand or a business. We will ask for business details when adding payed tickets and connect these details to the organization.

If you created an organizer account aerlier, this is where you can select it from a list.

To add a new organizer, type in their name and select "create organizer" from the list.

Name of the organizer can not be modified later!

This enables you to add different organizers (organizations) to a registered user account.

Country of the organizer

When adding a new organizer, you have to indicate their country of residence. We will set their taxing details, accounting details and VAT rate based on this setting, so selecting this correctly is a crucial step.

Venue

The venue indicates the place where your event is held and guests should arrive at the time of the event.

If your event does not have a venue, either choose the "online" or the "to be announced" option.

To set your venue, start typing its name and select from the suggested options.

If the address provided by us is incorrect, you can always change it by clicking on edit. If the pin on the map is incorrect, you can move it by clicking on "edit coordinates".

Event timing

You can select between 3 event timing type. This setting can't be changed later.

The time of the event is visible to customers. These are the ones that appear on the tickets and in the confirmation email.

One time event

A Single standard event, which has a start and end date and time. You can only set future dates, and the start of the event has to be sooner than the end of the event.

You can not buy tickets to an event after its end time, it automatically gets hidden on the customer page, won't appear in the search, and ticket types won't be visible on the event page. Event page will be avaliable through its link after the end date.

Recurring (multiple occasion) event

You can have multiple occasion events, where customers select an occassion when they want to attend to the specific event. Their tickets will be valid during the selected occassion.

Continuous event

If you are having a long term event, when customers don't have to decide when do they want to use their tickets, then you can use a continuous event.
